Sometimes the past and the future find interesting ways of merging. Two Saskatchewan boys, vocalist/guitarist Jason Bergeron and drummer Nathan Wall, having grown up playing together, joined with Montreal-born guitarist Brent Bisaillion to form Tripmeter. Putting together the old with the new, the group’s sound is a fusion of up-tempo alternative rock with infectious pop melodies and lyrics indicative of the wrestling and questioning that life often forces upon us.

I grew up in a couple of small towns in Saskatchewan (that's in Canada for some of my American friends). By the time I was 14 my parents were annoyed enough with me that they gave in and rented a drumset for me. Rumour has it they weren't happy again until I left home for college.

INFLUENCES:
Foo Fighters, Switchfoot, U2, Led Zeppelin, Thrice, Mutemath, Sarah McLachlan, Nirvana, Hal Schrenk, Gordie Cochran, Dave Grohl, Ben Reynolds, Darren King, Taylor Hawkins.

GEAR:
I'm playing a DW Collectors Maple set right now: 8"x10" and 12"x14" toms, a 16"x20" kick, and a 6"x14" snare, with two Sabian HHX Evolution Crashes, Zildjian 13" K Hats and a 20" K Custom Session Ride. I love it. I also use a Tama Rhythm Watch and some UM-1's to help me hear live. I usually play with sticks.

Probably "My Addiction" and "Drive to the Sun"

I grew up in Montreal, Quebec, and I always thought the music that my sisters listened to (Motley Crue, Guns'N'Roses, Skid Row...) was so cool. One day while watching "You Could be Mine" on MuchMusic I decided to buy my first guitar.
