Shania Twain
Shania Twain (born August 28, 1965 in Windsor, Ontario Kinston Eilleen Regina Edwards) is a Canadian singer and songwriter, which as a crossover artist in country music and pop music at home.
Life
Shania Twain was born as the daughter of Clarence Edwards in Windsor (Ontario). Your real name Eilleen Regina changed it later in Shania – originally a word from the language of the Ojibwa Indians, the “I’m on my way” means. The last name “Twain” comes from her stepfather, Jerry Twain. She grew up in the town of Timmins, Ontario, where a road has since been named after her and a Shania Twain museum exists. Twain’s life was at 1 November 1987, a sudden turn when her mother and stepfather were killed in a car accident. She had to take care of this time alone with their younger siblings.
Shania Twain has its roots in country music. The collaboration with Robert John Lange – a music producer (including AC / DC and Bryan Adams), with whom she was married since 1993 and lived together until 2008 – changed her musical style with great commercial success in the direction of pop music.
In May 2008 it became known that Twain has separated from her husband. Until then, she lived with him and the common 2001-born son at La Tour-de-Peilz on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. In October 2004 she bought a ranch in New Zealand.
Musical Career
Twain’s first album, Shania Twain was published in 1993 and has sold a million copies in the U.S. in 1995 from their next album, The Woman in Me where she sold more than 12 million copies.
